Biography
Tamannah Harooni is an Associate Clinical Social Worker in the State of California who provides holistic, trauma-informed psychotherapy to individuals and couples. She specializes in supporting clients navigating trauma, multigenerational trauma, addiction, relationship challenges, and the emotional complexities of bicultural identity. She is currently pursuing a Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) in Clinical Psychology. Her work includes the use of EMDR, a trauma therapy that gently helps the nervous system process experiences that were too overwhelming at the time they occurred.
Tamannah has advanced training through the International Institute for Trauma and Addiction Professionals (IITAP) as an ASAT/CSAT candidate. She supports clients navigating patterns related to intimacy, compulsive behaviors, and relational distress, helping them understand these patterns through a trauma-informed and nonjudgmental lens.
As a Muslim immigrant South Asian woman, Tamannah understands how identity, culture, and family expectations shape the way people carry pain. She creates a compassionate, nonjudgmental space where clients feel understood and supported as they move toward a more grounded, authentic life, one step at a time.
