Biography

Shireen Musleh is a supervising clinical therapist who holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology and is licensed to diagnose and treat mental health disorders as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC). This enables her to provide psychotherapy for the alleviation and prevention of psychopathologies and emotional disorders and for the promotion of optimal mental health. 

Mrs. Musleh has extensive clinical experience counseling individuals, couples, and families with various types of concerns and issues since 2012. Her clinical specialties include working with married couples as well as adult women who are experiencing depression, have a history of trauma, anxiety, and other mood disorders, or other women's issues. She takes into consideration each client's unique circumstances and needs to determine the integrative therapeutic approach that best suits them. 

Mrs. Musleh has extensive training in working with individuals and families suffering from domestic violence. She completed an all-encompassing training program with the Illinois Coalition Against Domestic Violence (ICADV), enabling her to co-facilitate domestic violence and anger management groups to provide psycho-education and to increase insight into maladaptive coping mechanisms. In addition, she provided co-parenting counseling for couples going through divorce, as well as for married couples struggling with the difficulties of parenting. She has a passion for providing marital and pre-marital services. She has completed The Gottman Method Couples Therapy Level 1 training provided by The Gottman Institute, enabling her to help couples create greater meaning and connection in their relationships.
