Biography
Sahar is a doctoral candidate in Clinical Psychology at Adler University and an Adjunct Professor of Psychology. As a clinical psychologist in training, she has experience working in diverse settings. She has published in scholarly journals such as The Community Psychologist, The Global Journal of Community Psychology, and a chapter focusing on Arab/MENA mental health in a Multicultural Counseling Textbook. Her current research focuses on immigrant and refugee populations and centering the lived experiences and voices of marginalized communities through a liberation framework. She provides trauma-informed therapy across the lifespan with a foundation in relational psychodynamic and humanistic therapy, focusing on systemic forces, cultural humility, and anti-oppressive approaches to clinical treatment.
