Biography
Naveed Bajwa is a licensed clinical social worker who grew up in the Metro Detroit area in Michigan. Naveed graduated with his MSW from Wayne State University in 2014, with a 3.88 GPA, and a focus in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy; he also completed his Bachelor's of Science degree from WSU, with a major in Business Management. Naveed has extensive experience working in community mental health, serving primarily vulnerable and oppressed populations, including people of color in an inner city environment, of low socioeconomic status, and people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. He has experience working with clientele from a variety of demographics, including race, religion, educational background (including highly educated professionals), etc. as well as working with clientele with a vast variety of mental health issues/illnesses, including depression, anxiety, personality disorders, substance use disorders, schizophrenia, autism, etc.
Naveed has learned from, been in the company of, and overall spiritually benefitted from numerous Ulama Ikraam (Islamic Scholars) over the past decade plus; he has also taken Islamic classes on different topics/subjects, including Arabic grammar, morphology, Tafsir, Islamic spirituality, etc. Naveed currently lives in northern Delaware with his father, wife, and three children; he is licensed in both Michigan and Delaware. He enjoys working on his spirituality/relationship with Allah SWT, attending the masjid, engaging in zikr, and spending time with his family.
