Biography
Jennah Owda is our HQ's Communications and Events Manager. Starting off her career in the public relations and communications industry, Jennah is well versed in optimizing marketing strategies, digital content, event planning, and stakeholder relationships. She is a graduate from the University of Illinois at Chicago, where she pursued English and Communications. Her love for working with non-profits stems from her previous job, where she managed media affairs and public relations for over 8 non-profit organizations simultaneously, 3 of which were Muslim non-profit organizations.
Jennah is dedicated to sharing the incredible story of Khalil Center through crafting engaging content, consulting with potential stakeholders, & collaborating with partners to further the national and global impact of the organization, as the largest Muslim mental health providers in North America. While she does not provide mental health services, she works closely with the members of our community to understand it's needs and collaborates daily with our therapists to coordinate essential support groups, trainings, and series. During her free time, she enjoys attending masjid events with friends and family and trying new foods.
