Biography
Brandon Rakowski is a psychotherapist with a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. He provides individual counseling to adolescents and adults, with a focus on mood disorders, substance use, behavioral addictions and adjustment-related concerns. He has particular experience working with adolescents and their families as they navigate school-related stress, identity development and faith-related questions.
In addition to his clinical work, Brandon serves as a research associate on an innovative project focused on improving care for individuals with Opioid Use Disorder (OUD) in North Carolina. He also maintains a strong interest in Islamic Psychology and the integration of faith and mental health.
Alongside his counseling training, Brandon has pursued formal studies in the Islamic sciences, beginning at Al Maqasid Seminary in Pennsylvania and continuing through private study in Ankara, Turkey. He speaks Arabic and has intermediate proficiency in Turkish. In addition to his work with the Khalil Center, Brandon serves as Associate Religious Director of Revival Ihya in the Lehigh Valley, where he is involved in youth and community education, spiritual development, and religious programming.
