Biography
Abdullah Ansari is the Director of Development at Khalil Center, where he leads development strategy and fundraising across the organization from the Lombard office. He brings nearly a decade of experience in nonprofit fundraising, strategic outreach, and organizational growth.
Before joining Khalil Center in this role, Abdullah held development and outreach leadership positions at WhyIslam, ICNA Relief New Jersey, ICNA Relief Chicago, and LaunchGood, where he oversaw substantial budgets and fundraising campaigns, led major national conferences, and delivered professional trainings internationally.
He is also a formal student of Islamic studies, having studied Arabic language and Qur'anic studies in Cairo, Egypt (Ijāzah in the recitation of Ḥafṣ). He has continued his studies at Darul Qasim College for the past six years and counting, where he is currently pursuing advanced studies in Ḥadīth alongside Islamic Law, Theology, Logic, Tafsīr, and their subsidiary sciences.
Abdullah is passionate about cultivating a culture and ethos of Islamically grounded gift-giving, philanthropy, and Ṣadaqah; one that realizes the spiritual elements and Islamic guidelines and frameworks of giving, allowing for spiritual flourishing and an attraction of Allah's barakah and acceptance. He is well embedded in the Muslim community across the Northeast and Midwest, with years of formal leadership in Young Muslims at the local, regional, and national levels.
