Participants will be taught an array of skills to cope with unhealthy thoughts and behaviors. The result is positive changes in daily life with improved relationships, emotion regulation, mindfulness, decision-making and self-esteem.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a form of therapy designed for people who experience emotions very intensely. This particular anxiety skills program is designed to help adults who struggle with regulating emotions.
Objectives:
- Educating participants about the core principles of mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotional regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness from an Islamically integrated perspective. 
- Helping participants identify and understand their own emotional triggers and patterns of behavior that may be impacting their well-being and relationships. 
- Teaching participants specific skills and strategies for managing intense emotions, including mindfulness, deep breathing, and self-soothing techniques. 
- Helping participants identify how to incorporate Islamic values and principles in their life as a God-conscious believer.
