Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a form of therapy designed for people who experience emotions very intensely. This particular anxiety skills program is designed to help adolescents who struggle with regulating emotions.
Objectives:
Educating participants about the core principles of mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotional regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness from an Islamically integrated perspective.
Helping participants identify and understand their own emotional triggers and patterns of behavior that may be impacting their well-being and relationships.
Teaching participants specific skills and strategies for managing intense emotions, including mindfulness, deep breathing, and self-soothing techniques.
Helping participants identify how to incorporate Islamic values and principles in their life as a God-conscious believer.
