Biography
Amatullah is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the State of Florida. She has several years of experience providing services as a psychotherapist for private agencies, foster care agencies, public schools and Islamic schools. Amatullah uses a strengths-based approach with clients. She has facilitated workshops for students, parents, children and families on topics such as mental health, social issues, and personal growth.
Amatullah received her Master’s in Social Work from Howard University. She has completed courses on Islamic guidance to mental & spiritual health, as well as Khalil Center’s Traditional Islamically Integrated Psychotherapy (TIIP) Level 1 Training.
As an American Muslim of Afro-Caribbean heritage and a descendant of reverts to Islam, Amatullah is committed to fostering dialogues regarding culture, inclusion, and diversity in Muslim communities. She is passionate about helping families to understand their own behavioral motivations and communication styles in order to promote peaceful home environments and successful emotional growth.
