Biography
Suzan Radwan is a certified expressive arts therapist, with a diploma in expressive arts therapies- intermodal approach from PIEAT- Calgary, Alberta. She graduated from the faculty of medicine- Cairo University 2005, and has trained and worked outside Canada in the fields of: Cognitive behavioral therapy and addictive behavioral counseling. In the last ten years she has been focused on learning and applying Traditional Islamic Psychology – namely the Ghazalian school- in her practice.
She’s also acquired certifications (Ijazah) in Islamic sciences including- but not limited to: Theology (Aqeedah), Shafi'i Jurisprudence (Fiqh), Hadith Sciences, Quranic Exegesis (tafseer), Instrumental Sciences: logic (Mantiq) and epistemology (theory of knowledge) as well as Arabic language. Her backgrounds in medicine, arts and Islamic studies have enabled her to create a unique apprehensive approach to the psycho-spiritual therapeutic field, which helps her customize and adjust therapy to the clients’ specific needs and abilities.
