Rana Chawla is a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist and holds a Masters of Arts in Counseling Psychology from the University of Denver. She has worked extensively with adolescents & families, providing individual & family therapy and dealing with a wide variety of issues. Her clinical training ranges from working with seriously mentally ill adolescents living in a locked facility, to providing treatment in the community and in-home services to families. Rana also has experience working as a school counselor in elementary, middle, and high school settings. Her 15+ years of experience in the field allows her to utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques based on the needs of the client. She also provides marriage and couples therapy with a focus on both The Gottman Method and EFT interventions.
Rana is passionate about providing services to underserved populations, dispelling the stigma of mental illness, and assisting parents to improve their family dynamics. In addition, Rana studied abroad in 2003/04 in Damascus, Syria, where she received a license to teach Tajweed from the late Shaykh Abu Hassan Al Kurdi. Rana is always working to deepen her spiritual knowledge & self-understanding in order to better serve her community.
