Muath Kabuka is a licensed master social worker who obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology as well as a Masters degree in Clinical Social Work from Florida State University. Muath has completed his clinical internship as a dependency case manager at Twin Oaks Community services where he advocated for the welfare of children and families in need. He has also completed a clinical internship at Emerald Coast Hospice, where he gained experience providing compassionate end-of-life care to patients and their families. His experience includes working with youth, bringing extensive experience in providing comprehensive support to teens, fostering their well-being across all domains of life.
Muath continues his path of knowledge at Darul Qasim College where he hopes to deepen his understanding of the faith, cultivate spiritual insights, and contribute meaningfully to the Islamic scholarly tradition. His goal at Khalil Center is to help patients gain control and autonomy over their lives. By fostering self-awareness and steadily working towards personal growth, Muath believes that individuals can achieve a profound sense of empowerment, leading to a more fulfilling and purposeful life.
Muath maintains an unconditional positive regard for his patients, demonstrating commitment to the therapeutic alliance. He acknowledges and celebrates their individuality and courage as they navigate the journey toward enhancing their quality of life.
Beyond his professional life, Muath enjoys a variety of activities that keep him engaged and balanced. Growing up on the Florida Gulf Coast, he has a fondness for water sports, finding them a source of both relaxation and excitement. He's a general sports enthusiast with a particular passion for martial arts. As a cooking enthusiast, he finds experimenting with recipes to be a way to unwind and relax. In his free time, Muath enjoys discovering new hobbies and interests. His curious nature keeps him open to discovering and enjoying a diverse range of activities, ultimately enhancing his ability to better serve his clients.
