Biography

Lujain Mahmoud is a Licensed School Counselor and therapist at Khalil Center. She holds her Professional Educator License and Masters in School Counseling from Concordia University Chicago. She graduated from Aurora University with her bachelors in Social Work and minor in Psychology. Lujain’s graduate training involved working with adolescents in a high school setting. She has experience working with adolescents and adults with anxiety, depression, and stress management. Lujain’s therapeutic approach involves cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT). Forming practical, realistic goals in order to reach the client’s end goal is a big part of her therapeutic process. Meeting the client where they are is a big part of Lujain’s approach.
