Biography
Deema is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Illinois. She earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northwestern University. She has clinical experience in both private practice and community mental health settings, working with clients from diverse cultural backgrounds. Deema has also completed formal training in TIIP, the Traditional Islamically Integrated Psychotherapy model, through Khalil Center.
Deema’s therapeutic approach is spiritually and culturally sensitive. She incorporates her training in psychodynamic and other evidence-based therapies with Islamic principles to provide thoughtful, insight-oriented care. Her work emphasizes slowing down to better understand oneself, relationships, and patterns of relating to the world.
