Course Description

The Science & Spirituality of Marriage is a workshop designed to help couples improve and strengthen their marriages. The Qur’an describes spouses as garments for each other. This beautiful analogy alludes to several aspects of marriage where spouses fulfill important functions for one another that will be unpackaged throughout the workshop.

The content is grounded within the Prophetic teachings and is informed by exploratory studies of happily married couples, anecdotal evidence from the author’s clinical experiences, clinical studies, and research backed methodologies proven to improve the quality of marriage. Each portion of the program includes information, tips, and activities that can be utilized during the workshop as well as independently.

The goal of this workshop is for participants to gain both knowledge and skills on how to enhance their marriages. Marriage is a journey that involves effort, intentionality, and commitment. Through this workshop, participants will increase their appreciation of the sanctity of the marital bond as well as the role of service and self-improvement within this context.
