Job Purpose

The purpose of this role is to fulfill the duties essential to the execution of day-to-day operations of a non-profit community health center, training, and research institute at the forefront of advancing the professional practice of spiritually integrated behavioral health practices. This role requires a self-motivated, independent individual who has professionalism, basic familiarity with health practices, and Islamic cultural norms.

Duties & Responsibilities 

The following are the primary day-to-day responsibilities for this position. These are not exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned. During your shift, not to exceed 8 hours per day, you will be responsible for the following responsibilities:

Administrative (75%):

  • Serve as first-point-of-contact for clients seeking services.

  • Correspond with clients via email and phone to facilitate scheduling with staff therapists.

  • Facilitate a smooth client/user experience in the seeking of therapy services.

  • Support clients in engaging EMR portal to ensure smooth delivery of services.

  • Provide general clerical support to the Director.

  • Ensure client confidentiality at all times.

  • Streamline operational processes and systems to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Operations (20%):

  • Maintain weekly check in with staff therapists to ensure all administrative and therapist tasks are


  • Coordinate staff schedules.

  • Run monthly reports to ensure staff therapists are in compliance with their clinical hours.

  • Work in close coordination with Director to ensure smooth operation of all facets of branch office.

  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of community initiatives and operational processes, making data-driven decisions for improvement.

  • Collaborate with leadership team to identify opportunities for improvement and implement strategic initiatives.

Outreach (5%):

  • Facilitate and participate in community outreach efforts, including events, workshops, and collaborations with other organizations.

  • Participate in recruitment, as needed, of additional staff to add greater diversity of expertise and range of services offered at Khalil Center.

Qualifications and Skills 

  • Bachelor's Degree Preferred in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Non-Profit Management, Social Work, or related field.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to plan, prioritize and organize multiple projects/tasks while paying close attention to detail.

  • Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook a must.

  • Familiarity with Islamic theology, customs, rituals, and rules.

  • 2 years administrative or clerical experience in a clinical setting preferred.

  • Knowledge of the mental health sector and a commitment to advocating for mental health awareness and support preferred.

  • Must be willing to successfully complete and pass a comprehensive background screening check.

Working Conditions 

  • Professional office setting, relaxed business/Islamic attire (culturally attuned to Islamic work context).

  • Working in office (limited remote hours possible)

  • Routinely use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers & filing cabinets


  • $60,000 yearly salary DOE
